It still has that Cooley blend flavour that I'm not hugely fond of, but it's softened right down in the Kellan. Slightly prefer Jamesons, but Kellan has a nice honey-gold color and a bold yet not overpowering taste. If you like blended Irish whiskey, this worth a shot, no pun intended (or, what the heck, maybe it is intended!). I've had Scotch (not my favorite) but as an American, I've always liked our Bourbon such as Jack Daniels, and really like Maker's Mark. Well, I had a couple of good-sized glasses of Kellan on the rocks, and was surprised at how easily it went down. A thoroughly pleasant taste. Perhaps not as interesting as I'd expected, being Irish and all, and how the image of rugged Irishmen is portrayed in our movies.
